On December 10th, 2020, Group.BR - NY’s only Brazilian Theatre Company - will present a special program in celebration of the centennial of the Brazilian author, Clarice Lispector. Ms. Lispector was born in Ukraine and arrived in Brazil as an infant. She has been described as the most important Jewish writer since Franz Kafka. While relatively unknown outside of Brazil, Clarice's writing has often been compared to that of Virginia Woolf and James Joyce.
Some of the art seen on our home page was acquired at auctions set up to benefit charitable causes in these challenging pandemic times. A portion of the artwork displayed on our home page will be donated to Group .BR, NY’s only Brazilian theatre company, to support its mission and Clarice Lispector's centennial celebration.
